Supplier and product reliability are critical to the success of the ever-advancing technologies utilized in today’s and tomorrow’s vehicles. Additionally, the automotive supply base continues to expand beyond its traditional borders, incorporating many highly capable suppliers that are new to the automotive industry. AIAG’s Supplier & Product Reliability Assurance will update current reliability tools while investigating new tools to evaluate both suppliers and products. These tools will be utilized for internal and external use as either self-assessments or supplier assessments. A common set of key reliability terms will be defined and updated to support the industry’s growth and these assessment tools.
