In continued collaboration with the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA), AIAG is pleased to announce the second annual Southern Automotive Quality Summit, scheduled for March 9, 2017 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Designed to showcase the southern automotive industry’s commitment to world-class quality, this one-day event will be the official roll-out of the new IATF-16949 standard to the supply base in the great South East.

“Our new industry quality standard (IATF 16949) is a significant revision to the prior version, both in content and application,” notes J. Scot Sharland, AIAG’s executive director. “AIAG was intimately involved in the development of the new standard, and is excited to reaffirm our partnership with AAMA to help drive awareness, understanding and utilization of the standard by the automotive supply base throughout the South East.”

Ron Davis, President of the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association commented,

”We continue to work with AIAG to accelerate the development of advanced manufacturing capabilities and services in Alabama and throughout the South East.  In-depth knowledge of the new standard will help yield more predictable manufacturing outcomes and, by so doing, improve supplier’s access to new business opportunities.”
