Registration is open for the 2023 Mexico Webinar, "Current Status of Audits in IMMEX Companies." (Presented in Spanish.)
All supply chains in Mexico, along with their U.S. and Canadian counterparts, are geared toward the automotive industry - from border crossing operations and scheduled "milk runs," to truck, rail, and multimodal shipments. Similarly, supply chain security programs such as the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT), Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), and Free and Secure Trade (FAST) lanes also rely heavily on the automotive industry. In fact, automotive OEMs were some of the first to participate in these programs, invited by customs authorities to support their Mexican operations relying on IMMEX.
According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Mexico is the largest export market for U.S. automotive parts, and the fourth-largest producer of automotive parts worldwide, generating $94 billion USD in annual revenue. Supporting this robust manufacturing sector in Mexico is a government program called Industria Manufacturera, Maquiladora y de Servicios de Exportacion (or "IMMEX") focused on promoting foreign investment and exports, creating jobs, and developing technology. As every company - whether OEM or Tier supplier - dealing with automotive companies in Mexico knows, IMMEX operations are an integral part of the supply chain. IMMEX operations have stringent requirements, and audits are not only commonplace, but increasing in frequency, making this live webinar event on the "Current Status of Audits of IMMEX Companies" one you won't want to miss!
